The biggest beauty tip I have to give for any bride is drink loads and loads of water and keep your stress level minimum. No beauty treatment will work if you don’t drink enough water or you are highly stressed.
Today I’ll help you to get beautiful skin for pre or post wedding functions and also for the D day.

1) Body Wash / Shower Gel :
Just like your face your body needs good care. Don’t underestimate the importance of a body wash. Don’t go for fragrance you can use a body mist later, go for body wash with natural ingredients and which has moisturising properties.
2) Body Scrub :
Get beautiful skin merely by treating it well! This means regular body exfoliation/scrubs 2-3 times a week.

3) Body Lotion/ Moisturizer :
A healthy skin looks and feels great. For a glowing skin you have to regularly moisturising with it with a good moisturizer. If your legs are naturally dry, opt for a thicker, creamier moisturizer (look for shea butter, butter creams, or whipped products) whereas those with more normalized skin can go for lighter weight moisturizers.
4) Sunscreen :
Avoid going out in sun before your d day. UV rays can make your skin look dull and lifeless. Make sure to apply sunscreen on exposed body parts if you are going out. Body needs more spf compared to face.

5) Perfume / Body Mist /deo :
Wedding means lots of functions, parties, guests and fun. Smell good all day long. Choose good deodorant or body mist. This has a plus point, you will feel pleasant if you smell good .

FOR FACE : Plan your beauty care program and establish a routine of cleansing, toning and moisturizing morning and night

1) Face Wash :
Start your day with washing your face with ice-cold water. This ensures the prevention of pimples that may occur due to excess oil. Invest in a good face wash . Know your skin type first. If you have oily skin go for gel based face wash and if you have dry skin go for creamy one’s.
2) Face Scrub :
Include a gentle scrub in your routine. Face scrub removes dead cells making your face look young and glowing. Use face scrub twice a week. Using a scrub everyday can cause damage or can make it more sensitive.

3) Toner:
For people with large pores its essential to tone after face wash. Toner reduces the appearance of pores and can also control excess oil production. Skip toner if you have super dry skin.

4) Day Cream ( Moisturiser with spf ) :
Moisturizing will keep your skin soft and supple. Not only is hydration vital for supple, healthy looking skin, it will also ensure a barrier against internal and external damages – helping to prevent dryness, improve tone and texture, protect sensitive skin and diminish imperfections. Day creams will be lighter, sometimes fluid in texture, and include an SPF to protect your face from the sun.

For oily skin : If you have oily skin, then use a non-oily cream like the ‘clean and clear oil balancing moisturizer’ after washing your face with an oil controlling face wash.

5) Night Cream :
In the rush to look younger and slow down the process of ageing, night creams have come as a blessing. They repair and moisturise your skin. These are called night creams because you apply them before you go to sleep and when you wake up, viola! You find your skin refreshing and the complexion soft and rosy. The skin repairs itself at night and so anti-wrinkle products can work more effectively at night while you are sleeping. Always invest in a good night cream, one that is mild and preferably without fragrance.

6) Face Mask :
If winter is making your skin dry or less sleep making it look dehydrated go for a good hydrating mask . If you have acne or scars go for a neem mask, it helps to remove dirt from deep inside pores. You can also make face packs/masks at home read here.

beauty secret : When you go for a bath, carry a mixture of besan (gram flour) and milk. You would do well if you could add a pinch of turmeric to the mixture. Apply on face and body. This is the age old formula for a beautiful skin.
