So today I’ll share with you some makeup tips and tricks so that you don’t need help for pre and post wedding parties.

Lot of brides asking about how to do their own makeup for their weddings, with concerns ranging from, “I’m worried it’ll melt off” to “I don’t know how to get my makeup to look good in photos” :)If your wedding date is near, you may have to face many unexpected guests, functions and parties and you’ll have to look the best and glowing.

Remember Your goal is to bring out your best features- not to prove how well you apply your makeup. Lets start…

Prep your skin :Stress and dehydration will likely be your main enemies, but the better your skin looks, the less makeup you’ll need. So take good care of your skin in the weeks leading up to your wedding. Invest in a good night cream filled with antioxidents that helps to repair your skin at night. Use a day cream with spf. Store your eye cream, gel or serum in fridge and apply it on wedding day this will de-puff your eyes.

Primer :Primers can help in multiple ways from reducing the look of large pores, to help fill in fine lines and wrinkles. A good primer also helps your foundation from looking cakey and helps create a barrier between your skin and your foundation. They help with evening out the skin tone, help your makeup stay on longer.
Apply primer over any textured areas, like breakouts, wrinkles, uneven surfaces, etc. Product Recommendation :1) To even out skin and hide lines:  L’oreal paris Base Magique primer .
2) If you have large pores : Benefit the POREfessional Face Primer
3) For mature skin
: Palladio Herbal Face Primer

Foundation creates an even canvas for rest of the makeup. You need a good quality foundation that matches your skin tone very well. You can also buy a body foundation if you think other exposed body parts like hands and back need coverage.
Product Recommendation:
) Pricey but the best : Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation.
2) Drugstore, full coverage plus long lasting : Revlon colorstay.
3) To look younger : Estee Lauder Futurist.
4) The perfect foundation : Diorskin Nude foundation

Concealer : Conceal any visible blemishes or broken blood vessels with a highly pigmented cream concealer. Since concealer often contains light-reflecting pigments, avoid caking it on, especially under the eyes. (That’s what causes those strange white “hot spots” you see in some snapshots.)
Product Recommendation:
1) Stila Perfecting Concealer.
2) Revlon photoready concealer.
3) Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage.
4) Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer.

Powder: (translucent / press- powder)To help set your makeup and keep it looking fresh throughout the day, indulge in a light dusting of translucent powder.

Eye makeup :

Start with a eye-shadow primer Use eyes-shadow primer to keep your eyeshadow in place, even when you’re crying out of happiness. This will prevent creasing throughout the day. If you want a dramatic eye makeup go for the classic look of drawing one thick black line on the upper lash line. For a simple look, smudge a rich chocolate brown liner close to lash line.

For eye-shadow, pick a neutral palette, preferably one with browns, bronzes or golds. (If you have a medium skin tone, you can go more earthy, like a terra cotta.) Highlight your brow bone with slightly shimmery neutral colour.

Avoid too much shimmer or glitter as it can make fine lines more obvious and show up too bright in photos. Blend well! You can also apply your favourite eyeshadow on the entire lid.

Curl your lashes and apply two-three coats of mascara. (Use waterproof mascara)

If you’re using false lashes, give yourself plenty of time to apply them and look down into a hand mirror on a table when you do so (this can help you position them accurately). When the lash glue is dry, carefully go back over the roots of your falsies with liner and apply a coat of mascara to them.

Blush :The most challenging part of bridal makeup is the blush. DO go just a step above your comfort zone; the amount of blush most people wear every day won’t show in photos. You can use cheek stain if you have super oily skin. If you have a mature skin I suggest apply a cream blush which can take years off from your skin. Product Recommendation:
1) Rose de Rose
2) Maybelline dream touch blush

3) The Body Shop lip and cheek Stain

Lip Makeup :Try different lipsticks/ lip colours before the wedding day and see which colour looks best on you.

There is a wide range of lip plumpers on the beauty market these days, if you feel like you need a pout and look more glamorous.

Quick tips to make lipstick stay longer :
1) Apply lipbalm hour before using any lip product.
2) Apply lip liner to whole lips before applying lipstick. This helps the lipcolor last longer. 3) Apply lipstick using a lip brush.
) Take a tissue and place it over your lips. Dust loose powder over your lips (try using the finishing/setting powder)
5) Apply another layer of lipstick . Finish off with lipgloss.

Makeup setting spray : Makeup setting spray are very important for brides. They will protect your makeup from melting and will help you to look good in photos.
Product Recommendation:
Try SKINDINAVI, best setting spray ever. The Body Shop Vitamin E Face mist . Done ! . . .

Beauty Secret :Every bride wants clean, perfect makeup on her wedding day and don’t want to look overly made up. The rule of thumb is to enhance either your eyes or your lips, but not both at the same time. If you go for minimal eye makeup, do a bright pop of color on the lips. But if you’re doing a smokier eye with a lot of drama, go for a softer lip color.
