What’s hot seems to change every year when it comes to fashion, though there are some things that seem to stick around. In 2013, if you want to remain stylish, you might want to check out some of these hot new trends seen on the fashion runways.

While you might not be able to find all of the designs you see at high-end fashion shows, there are some ways you can adopt the hot new looks of 2013 without spending a fortune or tracking down nearly impossible to find articles of clothing.

Hair: The Side Part

The side part has been a traditional men’s style for years, dating back to the 1940s and 1950s. Now many designers are styling their models with a new take on the side part for their 2013 collections.

Worn a little bit windswept or grungy, the women’s version of the 2013 side part requires a pretty good amount of product to give the hair some volume and texture. Start with a mousse or light pomade to give your hair texture and a bit of shine before using a flat hairspray to keep the look in place.

Hair: Pink!

Dyed hair colors have been pretty popular for a few years now, and it seems that they aren’t going going anywhere in 2013. A lot of designers were using their classic go-to shade for bold, wild look hair – pink.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a bit of color to your hair – even just a little streak – 2013 might be the last year that you can do it without feeling like your bold look is completely out of style. Go for it before it’s too late.

Makeup: Bold, Bright Lips

Bold, bright lip colors seem to go in and out of style. Just a few years ago the last thing you wanted to do was wear bold fuchsia colored lipstick when you hit the town at night.

Today, designers are using a wide variety of bold, bright shades. That means that bold shades of lipstick are likely going to be big sellers in 2013.

While you may not be use to bold, bright lip colors, they really aren’t that hard to pull off if you just wear the shade with confidence. If you don’t want your lips to be so noticeable but you want to try the style out anyway, try neutralizing the color just a little bit with a bit of lip gloss. Lip gloss will make the color seem a little less obvious and bold.

Makeup: The Smokey Eye

Those bright, bold lip colors can’t be worn with just any eye makeup, and in most cases, you’re going to want something pretty dramatic to pull of the look completely. Many designers chose to use the natural smokey eye look, using charcoal, black or gray eyeliner to pull it off.

Some designers chose to use more natural shades like brown and beige. Choose whichever one works for you. Just know that you can still go to the smokey eye look for a night out, especially when paired with a bold lip color.

Face: Natural and Fresh

While crazy pink hair and bold lipstick colors might be really hot in 2013, designers chose a fresher, natural look for the overall face in 2013. For many women, that’s a real blessing, since it might mean less time in front of the mirror.

Still, the natural and fresh look isn’t always as easy to pull off as it seems though, it’s still likely less work than a lot of trends that were popular over the last five years – some of which required a little too much work.

To perfect your natural and fresh look, try a little bit of mascara and just a bit of blush. Pick a shade of blush that’s makes sense with your natural skin tone. For this look, it shouldn’t be too noticeable or pronounced to the naked eye.
