When it comes to neutral lipcolors and pink lipsticks, L’Oreal is without a doubt top of my list
I’m a little late in reviewing this pretty Richie lipcolor … so lemme introduce my 1st lipstick in my series of drugstore lipsticks I have in my collection – and this one has to be the ‘safest’ of the bunch.
Color Riche Velvet Rose is a nude lipstick with a pink tone to it. But very much in the neutral camp. This is a really nice color and looks natural on me. It’s a nude color that doesn’t look like concealer or foundation on my lips nor does it disappear like a tinted lip balm either. The formula is very creamy like butter.
Natural Brunette range applies like a lip balm. If you have pigmented lips I won’t recommend this lipcolor to you.
Price : INR 825 for 4.7 gm
Color: Pastel pink color
Texture/Finish : The lipstick has a nice creamy texture but it cracks/ flakes on my lips
Pigmentation & Coverage: Pigmentation is not that great. I need 3-4 layers.
Staying Power: This wears for 4 hours on me which I consider quite impressive.
What I Like ?
- Lovely neutral pink.
- Very creamy texture.
- Stays well for around 4 hours.
- Creamy and glossy finish.
- good ingredients.
- easily available
What I Didn’t Like ?
- not suited for pigmented lips
- Velvet Rose won’t suit all skin tones
- Pigmentation is not great
Final Verdict : Overall, it’s a lovely day to day colour but I wouldn’t purchase again because I know there are so many other colors and companies out there begging to be tested out by little ol’ me!
My Rating : 3/5
