MORE Pink Lipsticks …someone get me an intervention. Now that shimmery eyeshadow is off my radar it’s been replaced with a strong lip color addiction I can’t resist a pink lip and certainly not one that’s from L’Oreal.

Price : USA – $ 7.99 , India – INR 499 , UK – £4.50
Quantity : 2.5 gm
Shelf Life : 3 years
L’oreal claims about the product : Don’t just stroke your lips, Caresse them. Lips say yes to this Caresse. A flutter of kissably soft light-weight feeling colour. Its delicate texture glides onto lips creating a veil of colour with a luminous shine. Available in 12 bright and eye catching shades.
My Experience ?
As usual, the packaging is good and travel friendly. Not the most glamorous packaging eh? It reminds me of fevistick glue or something and the glue comparison doesn’t stop there. The lipstick has a flat top bullet which can make application slighty trickier.
Shade 04 Rose Mademoiselle is a beautiful cold pink shade. In the bullet it looks more bright and bold, but when applied it has a distinct pink-cool tone to it.
How I Wear It ? Playing with the cool toned pinks is too risky ( nah just kidding) I love pairing this lipcolor with textured hair, neutral eye makeup and a happy matching blush .
I tend to prefer pigmented pink lipsticks but I do gravitate towards the moderate pigmentation and moist Creamy texture when my lips look dry and chapped. The texture this L’oreal lippie is similar to lip balm and extremely lightweight. It gildes on very smoothly on my lips.
L’oreal Rouge Caresse 04 Rose Mademoiselle is a cool toned pretty pink. I can describe it as a cool toned pink that becomes progressively bold pink with layering. I own lots warm toned pinks because I have yellow olive-y skin and I feel cool pinks will look ridiculous on me. In winter I play more with warm toned reds and neutrals which look great on my NC35 skin. But summer is a time to experiment with lipcolors and summer is the time for pinks and orange ( I don’t care what tone are they)
Finish / Formula :
The balmy formula keeps my lips from drying. It doesn’t really feel heavy on the lips at all and doesn’t cling to dry patches. It has a pretty satin glossy finish.
Pigmentation / Coverage :
A light and balmy formula with compromise on colour impact. L’oreal Rose Mademoiselle has Sheer Pigmentation but it also leaves a pretty stain which is a surprising part. I love pigmented lipcolors but also enjoy wearing the sheer balmy glossy ones. For opaque coverage you’ll need two to three swipes. Once you’ve conquered the application, 04 Rose is a beautiful lipstick.
Staying Power :
It stays put for three hours before I need to reapply and the colour doesn’t bleed either, so you can skip liner! BnB tips : If you want to make it last longer – Blot with a tissue to remove any excess cream and add two more layers.
