Finally Lakme has changed their packaging of enrich satin range and side by side they have also launched some new shades to the collection recently. Though I am just a big fan of their sculpt studio range, I am not so much fan of this enrich satin range.
But new lipsticks always have the power to attract girls! You know that well yaar! So I have to try their new range to try if it is old wine in a new bottle or a new one. So today I am representing the shade P168 from the newly launched collection.
Product name- Lakme Enrich Satin lipstick
Price- 260 INR
Quantity- 4.3 g
Shade- P168 (still they don’t have lovely names!)
Availability- online as well as any Lakme counter across India
Lakme claims– Steal the show with an intense vibrant pout. The added goodness of olive oil and Vitamin E, helps keep your lips satin smooth.
My Experience with Lakme enrich satin lipstick P168 ?
Packaging– this new packaging is definitely better than the previous age old packaging. This lipstick comes in a transparent packaging from which the steel made holder of the bullet is seen easily. The lid is also transparent and this time one can choose lipstick without opening the cap because of the transparent lids. The shade name is written between the case and the case is further packed in a glossy silver colored paper box. The lid shuts off with a click and packaging is definitely travel friendly.
Shade and texture– P168 is a gorgeous shade which will suit across the skin tones. Indian olive skin would really rock the shade. It is a perfect blend of purple and deep pink and I am just in love with this shade.
The texture of the new enrich satin range is really softer than earlier and easily gets applied on lips without any tugging. It is not a matte lipstick so it gives a sheen on lips which is not too glossy to look. The texture is not feather light but it is not that heavy too. More or less it is comfortable to put on your lips.
Pigmentation and staying power– P168 is well pigmented and two swipe is enough for full color on your lips. It doesn’t bleed and doesn’t need a lip liner beneath. The smell is somehow fruity which I don’t like.
Staying power is not that great but considering the price point, it is okay! It stays on my lips around 3 hours without any meal in between. It transfers to cutleries also and it stains lips. The stains remains there for a long time and needs to be wiped off with an oil base make up remover.
What I Like-
- First of all new packaging after a long time
- Budget friendly
- Comes with bright shades of pinks and reds
- This shade is suitable for most of the skin tones
- Gives a sheen on lips
- Good in pigmentation
- Texture is not heavy
- Transparent lid helps to choose color easily
What I Dislike–
- Stains! But high end brands too tend to stain badly. At this budget it can be passed
- I don’t like the smell personally
- Can’t stand snacks I mean it gets patchy after that
