My Experience with Lakme Lip Pout in Pink Fantasy ?
Lakme lip pout comes in a chubby stick like packaging and the body color of the stick indicates the shade of the tint. In case of pink fantasy, the stick is of pink color and looks very girly. The silver colored cap reduces the funkiness and imparts a classy look to it. The stick is retractable so there is no any chance of product wastage! This tube is further secured by a black colored paper box. Nevertheless to say that the packaging is travel friendly and there is no chance for product damage. This type of packaging always needs the least maintenance. Yeyyy! No flaws in packaging.
Shade, Pigmentation and Texture-
Pink Fantasy is a bright pink shade which would flatter on most of the Indian skin tones. Though the shade is slight on the cooler side but it will suit every skin tone! The shade doesn’t has any neon tone to it. I have read many complaints about the pigmentation of these lip tints! But I have no any problem as there is nowhere any claims from Lakme that it would give opaque finish. Instead they told it is more than tints! And I would say that these are much more than normal tints! Yes I repeat they don’t lack pigmentation. It is just the little waxy texture which prohibits these from imparting full color on lips. But after 2-3 swipes I get opaque color on my lips. For the first time I have applied on lips it felt little waxy as the bullets are coated by some glossy waxy layers. But after the first time application, the layer disappears and it is very comfortable to apply on lips afterwards. Also it gives more color pay off from the second time than first time!
And now it’s going to start a war! Many have found this drying! But first I want to clear one thing that I am a hard core matte lover and I love my matte lipsticks without any sheen as those sheen makes my already oily skin looks more oily! At least I think so. So these are my absolutely favorite as it doesn’t give that sheen after applying. I just apply lip balm 10 minutes prior to application and then blot it and apply the lip pouts. I don’t feel dryness on lips at least for 3-4 hours and my lips are not that dry so I rarely feel stretchiness.
It stayed on my lips for around 5-6 hours with light meals and snacks! Without meals in between the staying power would prolong! But after heavy meals it starts to fade from the inner rim of the lips. It doesn’t bleed and it fades out evenly. But it transfers to the cutleries.
What I Like-
- Widely available
- Lakme kept it affordable
- Chubby stick packaging are worth mentioning
- Well pigmented
- Doesn’t smell weird
- Glides on lips easily from the second time application
- Bright shade of pink which is suitable for every skin tone
- Perfect matte finish
What I Dislike-
- I would be more happy if there were more shades available in the range
- It transfers
- This is not for cream lipstick lovers but this is not a con for me!
