Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick 240 Undressed Review
(~Author Sanchita )
The particular élan and aura of a nude lip color is unmatchable. This is such a color I would love to pair up with anything. They never make you look overdone yet sensational enough to make a point. Of course, choosing a nude color for your skin tone isn’t a cake walk.
You can neither go too deep nor too light to make you look washout – it has to be perfect. Always choose a little deep than the color of your foundation and then you’re good to go. I visited the Rimmel counter last weekend for the Diwali shopping when I stumbled upon this particular shade “Undressed” and it completely blown me away. Find out in details why this is my latest nude crush.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION – High color impact for up to 8 hours wear. Color that turns heads! Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick is creating smooth creamy texture for comfortable wear all day long.
PRICE – 250 INR for 4 g
MY EXPERIENCE ?
PACKAGING – the lipstick comes in a similar twist up packaging with a sleek blackish brown case. The body of the lipstick is extremely light weight yet sturdy – something you would love to carry with you all the time. There’s a pretty crown engraved on top of the cap while the shade name and number is printed below. Overall, a simple yet elegant packaging to admire.
SHADE – the shade is something I would call “love at first sight” for MLBB lovers. It is a flesh toned beige with fade peach brown undertones. The color is the exact second version of my skin tone and turns out to be perfect nude for me (I am NC 30). What I love is that it has no shimmers at all. You have to wear this shade carefully otherwise it will completely wash out. The color wouldn’t suit much wheatish or deeper skin tones. With smoky eye makeup, the color looks ravishing.
TEXTURE – the texture is super creamy and glides on the lips like butter. You I try to overlay it too much, it tends to bleed and therefore you either have to blot it with a tissue or use a proper lip liner underneath. It is an absolute delight for chapped dry lips and moisturizes it thoroughly.
PIGMENTATION – pigmentation is top notch too. With one swipe I get the perfect color. To finish the look with proper opaque look two swipes are enough for coverage. Too much layering of this color would look too stark for this color.
STAYING POWER – as the color is too creamy, the staying power is around 3-4 hours without lip primer or lip liner underneath. You can make the color completely matte and long lasting by dabbing some baby powder on top. This is the way I get my perfect matte nude lip color without a glitch. The removal is also easy and comes off without much trouble.
PACKAGING – Simple, elegant and travel-friendly.
SHADE – perfect nude for NC 30.
TEXTURE – Creamy and glides easily
PIGMENTATION – one or two swipe is enough to give you good coverage.
STAYING POWER – due to creamy texture stays for 3-4hours.
