LAKME EYECONIC KAJAL IN BROWN SWATCHES & REVIEW
( Author ~ Sanchita )
Hello Friends !
I was in search for a good brown kohl until I stumbled upon the Lakme Eyeconic version. The days when I merely want to smoke out the black eyeshadow or kohl on my eyes, I use the brown as a base or for diffusing the intensity of black in the most natural way possible. Every time I look for a brown, I either get a shimmering version or something bronze or copper.
True matte earthy brown kajal shade is hard to find but thankfully this Lakme Eyeconic is the brown I have been longing for so long. Let us get into the details of the product.

My Experience ?
the kajal comes in a regular cardboard packaging with the details inscribed on the back. The kohl is in the form of a retractable pencil with a sleek black body and a nice cap that shuts quite efficiently without any hassle. The pencil, thus, need not to be sharpened and hence there’s no wastage as well. Overall, the packaging is perfect – light weight and travel friendly.
the shade is matte chocolate brown without any bronze or copper undertones. This is such a color that would happily show up on fair to medium skin tone while for dark skin tones the pigmentation might lack. The color works great for very soft matte smoky eye look for the daytime who wants an alternative of stark black. For an eyeliner and kajal it looks extremely natural and pleasing to the eyes.
of all the kajal I have used till date, this is softest and creamiest one I have come across. Once or twice I have broken the tip as well while exerting the pressure and therefore I always use the lightest hand while application. Owing to its creamy texture, the kajal can be smudged easily after application with the help of finger or a brush. It glides effortlessly on both the eyelids and the water lids without any fuss. After approximately 5mins it settles down to a matte finish without making the eyelids look cakey.
pigmentation is rather impressive. On my eyelids and lower lids, it requires 2-3swipes to show up decently and also the pigmentation is buildable. On my water lids, it requires around 4-5swipes to show up the darkest color as my water lids are slightly watery. Overall, good pigmentation for a daily use colored kohl.
the kajal is indeed smudge proof and waterproof. After its application, it is creamy enough for smudging to create the smoky look but when it settles, it doesn’t budge or seep down with time. I have washed my face several times with the kajal and truly it doesn’t gets removed by water too.
STAYING POWER –
the kajal stays on my water lids for around 3-4hours easily during summer and on the lining of upper lids and lower lids, it doesn’t budge at all for around 6hours approximately. Therefore, you can go on easily with the whole day without much touch ups.
The kajal doesn’t sting or irritate the eyes at all. Although, the removal is tough but it works as a con as it doesn’t smudges or fades off too quickly.
OVERALL – this kajal has a multipurpose daily use as an eyeliner, kohl, eyeshadow base and smoky eyes. With such a reasonable price tag, it is a winner.
