Hello all you gorgeous ladies!
I hope all are ready to embrace the upcoming fall months—Indian winters are indeed a welcoming relief after the scorching hot summer months!
So anyways, today I am here with yet another gorgeous post–the 6 best pink lipstick shades for Indian skin tones from the house of Mac!
I have tried to incorporate subtle and more wearable, muted pinks in contrast to the loud and bold colours in this post, including finishes from creme-sheen, to matte to satin!
So let us begin, and see what I have in store for you guys today!
My love for muted pinks has never been hidden from you guys, and upon eyeing this gorgeous, gorgeous baby at the Mac store, i just could not resist from including it in my best pink lipstick list! And no, I am not partial, it’s just that the color is so pretty, and is the perfect muted pinkish-brownish shade for medium skin tones! Or I can say it will suit almost all across the skin tone spectrum! A universally flattering lip color which can work as an MLBB shade for women of color! The finish is satin, but it looked more of a matte after 15 minutes on the hand swatch! The lipstick is insanely pigmented and one swipe is all you need to cover up the darkest of lip pigmentation and give a full-blown opaque color! A must try shade for Asian beauties!
I had read a lot of bloggers rave about this particular shade from the matter range of Mac’s permanent lipsticks but it somehow never attracted me much, but in reality, the shade did change my perception! Mac calls it a dirty bluish-pink lipstick with a gorgeous matte finish! I found it to be very similar to twig, but a bit more muted and a tad bit pinker than twig! They looked almost identical upon swatching in the hand, but twig being twig looks different in different lighting, whereas mehr looks more of a pinky nude to be precise! It will suit mostly all Indian skin tones but may wash out very dark skin tones a tiny-weeny bit! All in all a gorgeous pinky nude, and a great option for those who think Cosmo is a bit too nude for their liking!
With an adorably creamy, lustre finish; the lipstick love lorn is described by Mac as an emotive blue pink! And true to its description it indeed is a very sheer blue based baby pink which will suit mostly fair to medium Indian skin tones! And given its cooler undertones, it complements warm skin more vividly! I found the lipstick to be quite sheer, but the color was build-able! I swiped the lipstick about 4-5 times to get the true color and the lipstick glided on like melted butter, yes it is that smooth! But never did it feel clumpy or gloopy in the swatch or while clicking! A good shade if you are in the lookout for a neutral shade which will make you stand out and give you that oomph without even trying!
This was in shade I was most afraid of! I have seen my seniors (in the blogging world) carry shades like these so damn effortlessly but my weakling of a heart could not even think of wearing such a bright, blue-based hot, yet muted kind of a pink! It is not bold but it is bluish enough to create a bold impact on the onlookers! The shade is crazy pigmented, smooth enough to put butter to shame, yet comes with an adorable satin finish which looks so darn good on prepped as well as unprepared lips alike! It is a very beautiful cool tones, barbie pink kind of bright pink lipstick–bright enough to give you the much needed confidence boost but not too bright so as to make you look OTT! It definitely adds a dose of freshness to the entire look and I am sure it would work pretty amazingly across a large spectrum of skin tones!
Here comes something for our typical desi beauties–a yummy yellow-based warm toned medium pink with not sheer, but you can call it a semi-opaque coverage lipstick which has the tiniest bit of shimmery particles in it! This is literally one of its kind of light pink lipsticks, which do not wash you out, yet look so light on the lips, as if it is barely there! And of course, one can never go wrong with a creme sheen lipstick! If you are in the lookout for a muted, but a girly-girly color which brightens up your skin tone without giving an inch of boldness to the lip–sunny seoul is the thing to try! A particularly gorgeous shade for beginners!
Pink pearl pop
Mac calls this baby a frosted mid tonal pink lipstick and i could not have agreed anymore! Umm how exactly do i put it? Okay! Its like, if you want to wear a bright girly-girl pink color on the lips, but do not want something as bright as pink nouveau, and neither are you interested in as muted a shade as sunny seoul, then, my friend, pink pearl pop is the shade for you! It is not in your face bright, but has bright tones to it, which brightens up the skin in return! And though Mac calls it frosty, i could not see any frost finish to the lipstick and that is why i included it in the list–because i personally am an ardent hater of frost finishes! But that’s just me! Anyhow the color is a good choice for a bright yet muted pink tones, if like me, you have ever earned for any such shades!
So here were my 6 best pink lipsticks from the house of Mac! I have intentionally listed only the permanent line if lipsticks so that you guys can check these out whenever you get the time to do the same!
