Maybelline Eyestudio Hyperglossy Liquid Liner in Black – Review, Swatches and EOTD
( Author ~ Debarati )
A big hello to all!
Maybelline is on the roll now, right? They are launching new products one by one these days. But no one can deny the fact that some basic products from this brand are still in best sellers! This hyperglossy liquid liner is one among them. This is budget friendly as well as easily available. So today I am going to share my honest experience with this.
- Product name- Maybelline Eyestudio Hyperglossy Liquid Liner
- Shade- Black
- Price- 245 INR when I’ve bought (but now the price is hiked and it is now 275 INR)
- Quantity- 3g
- Shelf life- 36 months
My Experience ?
This liquid liner comes in a tiny yet very cute glossy black container. The cap is nicely designed to provide easiness during application. It also gives nice hold and though the body is glossy, I never felt any slipperiness during application. The packaging is travel friendly and the cap not at all tends to leak! The brush applicator is just fine providing precise line be it very thin or bold.
As it is a liquid liner, the texture is thin but not at all heavy on eyes. It glides easily on lids and never made me uncomfortable. This liner doesn’t tend to dry very quickly in the container but it doesn’t take much time to get dried when I apply this on my eye lid. This is definitely a plus point! The shade Black is deep shade of black but not the deepest black I have ever seen! But the opacity is less so I need to draw 2-3 times to get opaque black line.
The applicator helps to draw thin as well as thick lines very easily and quickly and the finish is glossy. I somehow prefer my liner to be matte and darker but for those who love glossy finish this is perfect for them. As the finish is glossy it catches light and reduces the intensity of black! I wouldn’t complaint as they claim it to be glossy. So this is designed for gloss lovers and let me tell you this is perfect in day light. But somehow it loses it glam in night as artificial lights make it less intense.
It stays on my eyes for around 4 hours or more which is not bad at all but though they claim it as a waterproof liner, this is not totally waterproof and gets washed partially if you wash your face with water. Though it needs a makeup remover to be removed thoroughly. It doesn’t make the lids feel stretchy. Lakme shine line liner makes the lids feel stretchy!
Overall this is a good easy to use and fuss free liner for daily use.
What I like-
- Not heavy on pockets
- Travel friendly yet sturdy packaging
- Applicator is good and provides precise lines
- Doesn’t feel heavy or stretchy on lids after drying
- Though not the zed black, the shade is deep black
- Perfect for daily use especially who loves glossy finish
- Staying power is good
What I don’t like-
- Not fully waterproof
- Artificial light reduces intensity of glossy liners
