Maybelline Lip Gradation Pink 2 : review, FOTD, LOTD & swatches
~ ( Author Nidhi )
Hello FRIENDS !
I AM Back with a recent launch from Maybelline, here is my take on the affordable lip pencil/crayon that is available in 8 lovely shades. Maybelline always keeps the customer’s interest in mind and launch products that pleases us both in term of price as well as quality.
The lip gradations are no different so let’s move on with its review.?
Product Description: Go Bold Or Graded And Sexy On Your Lips With The New Color Sensational Lip Gradation.
Price: 500 INR
Shade: Pink 2 is a bright deep warm Pink that would undoubtedly flatter all skin tones nicely. The shade leans slightly towards red and quite similar to Mac ‘All Fired up’ but the latter is more intense and bright.
This shade is wearable, beautiful, matte, bright and flattering. It brightens up your whole look and your dull day ?.
Packaging: The product comes in a double ended pencil form with the lip crayon at one end and a sponge smudger at the other end. The smudger tip is retractable so you can easily rotate that end to apply the shade. Both the ends are covered with sturdy plastic caps.
The lip pencil pack has the same color as the shade it carries which results in easy identification. The smudger is a soft sponge tip and I am not comfortable using it for smudging. Rest I like the packaging.
Texture: The lip crayon is creamy and applies beautifully. It is highly pigmented and a single stroke leaves a lovely color behind. The pencil tip allows for precise application. No bleeding of color. It is light weight and comfortable to wear.
But being matte, it is drying and would apply unevenly on chapped lips. So exfoliate dry lips, as before using any matte lip product, using some lip scrub and pat a bit of clear balm and then use lip gradation.
Longevity: The shade remains intact for 5-6 hours at a stretch with little fading. It remains as a nice tint on the lips after a full meal which avoids a re-application for me. It does transfer which may be bothersome.
What I like:
- The deep slight red toned pink.
- Universally flattering shade.
- Highly pigmented
- Comfortable to wear even after being matte.
- Creamy and applies easily.
- Good staying power
- Retractable packaging.
What I dislike:
- Prior exfoliation is must.
- Not satisfied with the soft tip smudger.
Girls now its your time to share your latest favorite pink lipstick?
