Chambor Extreme Wear Liquid Transferproof Lipstick 483 : Review, Swatches and FOTD

(Author ~ Nidhi )

Hi Everyone !

Today my review is about the recent launch by Chambor which is a Liquid matte lipstick. Liquid liquids are a new hit in the market and like many of you I too prefer these over the usual stick ones. So here is my review on this new transferproof liquid lipstick which I have been using since almost a month.

Product Description: A Long Lasting Transfer Proof Liquid Lipstick With A Smooth Sensorial Feel And A Creamy Matte Finish Its Extreme Coverage Provides A Deep, Intense Colour In Just One Stroke.

Price: 845 INR

Availability: Offline – Chambor Pop-up shops, Online – Amazon

My Experience:

Shade: Shade #483 (yes these don’t have names, just numbers) is a pretty deep rosy brown color. The color is a very wearable shade that any1 can sport anytime. It can be your on the go shade and would be suitable for office goers. The shade is definitely universally flattering.

The liquid lipstick is creamy and applies evenly and smoothly. The color is highly pigmented and a single swipe is all you need. Color sets quickly and then it is completely matte and transferproof. Yes, no worries regarding the shade transferring on to cups /saucers, it is actually fully transfer proof.

The shade is water resistant too and does not slide down once wet though I see slight transferring of the shade then. The color fades away from the center of the lips first like any other liquid matte lipstick I own.

Longevity: The shade stay put up to five hours without any fading if you don’t eat anything. With light snacks, it does tend to fade a bit but nothing to worry about. The shade stay put for 5-6 hours with light eating which is good. Remove it using some cleansing oil or remover.

Packaging: The liquid lipstick comes in a somewhat flattened round plastic transparent pack with all the necessary information provided on the outer cardboard box. The applicator is a little elongated flat sponge tip which picks the right amount of color for 1 time application.

Due to matte formula, exfoliating your lips with a good balm before applying is MUST. Apply a heavy layer of lip balm for few minutes and let it soak in a while. The application can be tricky. If you don’t have a steady hand, I would suggest using a matching lip liner and define your lips. Then use the lipstick wand and fill up. Or you can use a lipstick brush and follow the natural movement of your lips to create a more defined line.

Removal of liquid lipstick is as tricky as its application. You can’t just rub off with makeup removal or washing your face. The trick is to apply vaseline all over your lips, massage it and let it absorb for few seconds. Take a smooth washcloth or cotton and gently remove the remnants. It will then come off effortlessly.

What I like: :-)

  • Universally flattering wearable shade.
  • Lightweight and creamy texture
  • Completely transfer proof once it sets
  • Stay put for 5- hours
  • Does not fade easily
  • Not drying

What I dislike: :-(

  • I would have loved it even more if it could survive a full meal but it does fade away.
  • Highly priced.
  • Prior exfoliation is a must
  • Lip balm is a must for liquid lipsticks.

Overall, #483 is a perfect shade for everyday wear. Perfect for those who want a deep rosy brown shade yet not OTT. The good staying power and non transfer nature are added plus points here.

BnB Editor Shreya says, “Liquid lipsticks are made for special occasions as they are long-lasting compared to normal lipsticks. Even though most liquid lipsticks are expensive, INR 845 is very expensive because everyone likes to have different colors and it gets very expensive when we want to buy 2,3 shades of lipsticks. I totally loved this shade and Nidhi looks simple stunning in all the FOTDs. AMazing! “
