Chambor Extreme Wear Liquid Transfer-proof Lipstick 402: Review, Swatch and LOTD
(Author ~ Sanchita)
Hello Girls !
I have been hooked onto the liquid lipsticks like an addiction and simply hoarding them up every time I am going out. Although it has surely taken a toll on my wallet, but I have to say I am surly enjoying trying each and every one of them. This time I picked up the Chambor Extreme Wear Liquid Transfer-proof Lipstick which is one of the newest launch this year. They have been talked about a lot in this short span of time and gave me enough reasons to pick this up.
Having tried and tested this pretty baby, here’s my review on the same.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION (by company)- A long-lasting transfer proof liquid lipstick with a smooth sensorial feel and a creamy matte finish. Its extreme matte coverage provides a deep intense color in just one stroke.
PRICE – INR 845/- for 6 ml.
Packaging – The lipstick is housed inside a fairly strong cardboard box. The Extreme Wear Liquid Transferproof Lipstick comes in a sleek flattened body with a properly extended application attached to the screw cap. The body the lipstick is transparent and thus it is easy to see through, especially when I am in a hurry. However, they haven’t named the shades and simply provided with numbers which is a bit boring, if you ask me. The lipstick has a light weight and easier to carry. The applicator provides is slim and lengthy than usual ones, although I would have preferred a slant. If you have thin lips, if you have to be a bit careful. Overall, the packaging was good.
Shade – The shade I have picked up is 402 which is a nude mauve-y pink. Thankfully, there is no hint of shimmer at all which makes the shade look even prettier. It looks pinker when swatched but turns deep mauve when applied on the lips. However, I have strong warm undertones and it looks a bit deeper MLBB color for my skin tone. It never washes me out and gives a soft noticeable look to my lips. Undoubtedly, the color is a stunner. It is a perfect pick for the neutral makeup for formula and office wear. Also, this color is the perfect dupe for the Kylie Lip Kit – Posie K.
Pigmentation – One of the best thing about liquid lipsticks is that there are insanely pigmented and this one is no exception either. Single swipe will give you amazing saturation of color with opaque finish and hides every bit of lip pigmentation I have. Therefore you don’t need to go for a double swipe or cake up the product just to get better coverage.
Texture – The texture goes by its name, ‘liquid’ by surely not a runny one. It has a cream liquid kind of a texture that applies evenly on the lips and spreads well. It feels really smooth and light weight and literally nonexistent. Since it dries matte, I would surely suggest a lip balm underneath. Personally, I have dry lips all-round the year but that never stopped owning million liquid lipsticks for me. Therefore, I make sure to scrub and remove every layer of dead cells and then apply the lipstick to prevent drying further. It won’t accentuates on fine lines at all. It looks satin soft after application and dries matte within 2-3minutes of application. I have experienced no feathering with this liquid lipstick at all.
Formula – The lipstick is water proof and transfer proof completely. Once it dries, no matter how many glasses of water or juices you drink, the lipstick won’t budge at all. Also, it is completely transfer proof and won’t spread over to cups and cutlery at all. It has the tendency to emphasize the fine lines on my lips since it is a light color but it won’t be a problem if you gave normal hydrated lips. This is not a problem because these are quintessential liquid lipsticks. These are mineral oil, paraffin-free and have not been tested on animals.
Staying power – The lipstick has an amazing longevity on the lips as promised by the range. It stays for around 7 hours on the lips without flaking or looking even at all. It does budge a little from the corners and centre but nothing drastic at all after consuming oily foods. Also, you can do quick touchups easily. The impressive longevity on the lips is tough to remove without any oil based remover or proper cleanser as water won’t wash it off.
OVERALL – Chambor Extreme Wear Liquid Transferproof Lipstick is a pretty nude mauve which would flatter most of the Indian sin tones and provides an opaque pigmentation with impressive longevity without looking cakey or unnatural. The formula is true to the texture and is a delight for every matte lipstick lover.
