My Review ?
Packaging – the Hello Flawless SPF 15 Powder Foundation is housed in a rectangular cardboard box. Inside the box, is the well-built quadrangular black case which has the powder foundation in it and overall it has quite a retro feel to it. The top part encases the foundation while the lower deck has the brush and sponge in it. The black case has a magnetic lock and hence handling it makes a lot easier than anything else. Further it has a mirror and thus you surely won’t have to reach out to separate mirror while travelling or touch-ups. It isn’t ideally heavy and makes a great companion while travelling without any fuss at all. Overall, the packaging surely looks appealing as well as well-built in efficiency.
Applicator – it comes with a dual applicator – a brush as well as a sponge. The sponge is more of a wedge sponge quality and precisely given to provide better coverage in times of need. On the other hand, the brush which certainly reminds me of the NARS Ita Kabuki Brush looks like is miniature version. The bristles are soft and fluffy and this is best to use for sheer coverage or dusting off the excess. Both the applicators fairs well.
Shade – I got the shade – Beige All the World My Stage ! Interesting name but honestly speaking this shade didn’t match me. However, this shade will match perfectly girls with medium skin tone. The Sephora person was sweet enough to trick me into buying this shade and don’t ask me why I even got this – “beige all the world’s my stage”. It is the last shade in the medium category that would suit majorly NC 40 and 42. The presence of neutral undertones will suit Indian/warm skin tones to a large extent.
Benefit Hello Flawless SPF 15 Powder Foundation provides 9 shades in total – 3 in the lighter category (with pinker under tones), 3 in the medium category (with neutral/yellow under tones) while the other 3 in the deep (preferably yellow/orange undertones).
Coverage – Benefit promises customized coverage with this one and thus you can use sheer layer as well as high coverage as well. For the sheer one, use a brush in a circular motion while for the medium to high coverage use the sponge. The sponge actually pushes the product on the face and for uneven skin you won’t even need concealer. The best thing about the coverage is that it never looks ashy or cakey even though you decide to go for layers. It also adds a brightened effect to the skin.
Texture – the texture of the foundation is fine milled and therefore it acts as a great setting powder. You can also wear a light coverage foundation and apply this powder on top and still get a decent coverage with a natural looking finish. Since this is a powder foundation, you need to moisturize the skin well especially if you have a dry skin. It generally doesn’t have the habit of highlighting and accentuating on dry patches but you surely need to hydrate the area to avoid that. It has been enriched with SPF 15 which isn’t very high but decent enough for a foundation.
Formula and finish – the product delivers a flawless and natural looking. The foundation helps to even out skin tone, minimize imperfections and create a fresh subtle glow to the skin. In fact, it is a perfect pick for the days when your skin isn’t behaving well or the redness of the acne marks are giving you a hard time. It delivers a matte-dewy finish and thus an ideal one to go for all skin types. It blends well on the skin, adapting to the texture. There’s no creasing or cakey finish at all. Also, it will not clog the pores and leaves room for the skin to breathe on its own.
Longevity – the powder foundation is long lasting, around 4 to 5 hours for sure with little touch ups around the oily areas like the T-zone. Over the time, it doesn’t slide off the face or looks odd even when if the weather isn’t very friendly in summers. Having said that, the oil control isn’t phenomenal but decent. If you have extremely oily skin, you might encounter the shine after few hours depending on the humidity.

Final Verdict : I’m going to probably give the formula a better test in the Summer when my skin is a bit more oily. If you like good coverage powders this one is for you. Those who like pressed powders might find the formula a good pick. SPF 15 in a powder is a huge plus point for me !
