Colorbar Ready To Wink Perfect Eye Makeup Kit Review
(Author ~ Sanchita)
Without proper accessories, a good makeup look is incomplete. No matter how expensive or efficient the makeup products are, unless it is blended and applied well on the face it will look stark and uneven. Indian market surely needs to have some good eye makeup brushes which are effective and budget friendly and slowly brands are coming up with new launches. This Colorbar eye makeup brushes have been in my kit for an year now and even though I have a hundred more eye brushes, I still find my way back to these.
Read on to know more these in details…
PRICE – 550 INR
The eye makeup brushes are quite affordable ones yet have a great quality to start off. They comes in a slender sturdy plastic sort of a packaging with no case or pouch whatsoever. Once you cut off the packet you can’t reuse it again for storing the brushes and you have to use a pouch or case to store or travel with it. The pouch is something I would have preferred but the price I am paying for three brushes (considering the quality), I think I can’t complain much about it. The brushes are sturdy and well built.
Every brush has a white, strong handle, black ferrule and bright reddish orange bristles. The fibre of the bristles are soft and since these are eye brushes, they never poke or irritated he sensitive eye area at all. The only thing I noticed is that the handle of the Eyelluring Eyeshadow Brush started coming off after one year’s usage but can be easily fixed as well. Otherwise, everything about this is great. Let us see the individual brushes in details.
Eyelluring Eyeshadow Brush:
The Eyelluring Eyeshadow Brush is a dome shaped brush but it has a flat edge. The bristles are tightly packed and there has been no shredding whatsoever. The size of the brush is slightly small and broad and thus you can use it very well to pat the eye shadow on the eyelids. The edge of the brush is something very useful. It is great for blending the color on the lower lash line precisely and not going overboard with that. Even when you are doing a precise eye makeup look, the brush helps to blend the color onto the lids with much caution. There have been days when I simply applied kajal thickly onto my eyes and smudged with this brush. The brush is more on the stiffer side and hence the ‘fluffiness’ is missing and won’t help you blending a large area. The shape of the brush is quite unique and nice and also last a long time. I have washed this numerous times and it easily shakes off all the residual makeup colors but never sheds any bristles or the own color.
Smokin’ Eyes Smudger Brush:
Smoky eyes is something every girl wants to try and for that you need a good smudger brush that would seamlessly blend and diffuse the color. The Smudger Brush has a round edge with a tapered, round dome shape. The bristles are tightly packed but even if you use the tip of the brush it won’t poke the eyes at all. This is one brush I end up using every single day and I love the versatility of it. The brush is great for smudging color on both upper and lower eyelids as well as lash line. Sometimes I prefer using gel liners on my waterline and I use this brush to apply the gel liner and set it with a black eye shadow as well. If you want to use highlighter or any other color on the inner corner of the eyes, the brush fits there perfectly and also applies and smudges the color at the same time. If you want to blend a base color on a smaller area the brush really helps a lot. I also use this brush a lot for outer V and inner V as well. Coming to the washing part, it never sheds a bristle. However, the washing takes time to clear off every color from the brush as the fibers are tightly packed. Also, even after so many washes, the bristles are as soft as a new one.
Angled Angel Eye Defining Brush:
Once again a stunner from the collection. I never had to buy another angled brush in my life after using this one. The bristles are light orange in color, very soft and tightly packed inside a flat edge with angled shape. The brush is ideal for two things – gel liners and brows. The angles shape is very accurate and helps in the precise application but the bristles will never poke the skin at all. The flat edge make it thin and helps to line the eyes very well. For gel liners, the brush picks up right amount of product and it makes the job of making a feline eyeliner look very easy. For the brows, making the shape becomes easy and also to fill in. While doing the brows, use the brush vertically upwards to fill in which look very natural. Even after washing the brush so many times, it never sheds a bristle or get distorted.
All the three brushes are extremely sturdy and they never lose the shape or shed a bristles ever. The only thing I think is missing is a fluffy blending brush but Colorbar has one fluffy brush which is available individually. Apart from that, I love the brushes and find it very useful for every day makeup looks.
