Karuna Chani is one of the premier artists for South Asian and Indian women in the United States, Karuna’s passion for celebrating both inner and outer beauty has helped her make a name for herself in and out of the cosmetics industry.
Transforming her passion for beauty into a commitment to helping South Asian & Indian women who are often overlooked by the mainstream beauty industry, Karuna started her Masterclass series in the fall of 2015.
This year marked the second installment of her series, held on October 20th 2016 at District NoMad in Manhattan. A resounding success, the #KCMakeupFab4Fall masterclass taught two makeup looks – one for the office and another for a night out – breaking them down into easy-to-learn techniques.
An intimate affair, guests were engaged, excited and eager to learn all of the products and techniques that could help them approach their lives with that ‘extra dose’ of confidence! As Karuna made sure to highlight in her class, “makeup is not about covering up, but about enhancing what is already there!”
Teaching the two looks and key techniques wasn’t enough though, Karuna gave away three amazing gift bags, two valued at $200 where winners were chosen from an Instagram contest before the event, and one valued at $600 through a raffle contest at the event. Then all guests walked away with products from Kett Cosmetics, POPSUGAR Beauty and Amrita Singh Jewelry.
