Hello, cupcakes its favourite time of year again!

A lot of you may be familiar with my blogging break… well, this review officially ends my break. I’ve decided to blog regularly and share some additional tips and tricks over on here too! Today I’m talking all about my new beauty discovery.
I’ve been obsessed with so many primers that everyday its a battle to choose from SO many items, but the reason for this review is that the product was hyped & promoted a lot online & let’s admit they did it perfectly.

Price: $54.00

What Does The Company claim?

FARSÁLI Unicorn Essence is an innovative water-based, dual-purpose serum, which helps protect the skin from free radical damage while preparing it for makeup application.

What It does to my skin?/ My Review:

FARSÁLI’s Unicorn Essence at Sephora is sworn by insta beauties to create a flawless finish. This moisturizer-meets-makeup primer is an overnight stay and is typically applied over the face before makeup to create the effect of the smooth skin. Those who used it (promoted it) said it is the best primer and face serum combo ever.

While doing some research about Unicorn Essence I got to know the real reason it attracted skincare lovers- its ingredient list. It is enriched with four fruit extracts: açaí berry, goji berry, elderberry, and blueberry. I never knew Açaí berries give you a powerful antioxidants dose, This serum is also packed with vitamin C, which gives you powerful. Due to its water-based formula, this serum absorbs quickly into your skin. It makes my skin feel hydrated enough for summer without any greasy residue.
But when I think of this as a serum plus a makeup primer (like marketed by beauty gurus), then these drops don’t do much for my face. I don’t see any big change in my skin or makeup application. Maybe it’s my skin texture or my foundation but I didn’t see any major dewy-radiant effect. The candy-like fragrance scares me a bit, artificial fragrance can cause skin damage in the long run.

Now as a primer this product didn’t make any difference I expected my makeup to last longer after using this, but it did nothing. One of the funniest claims I’ve read online is that it makes eye makeup last longer without any creasing.
My skincare routine is extremely diverse so whenever I see new skincare products that have antioxidants I am interested. So maybe just like me if you wish to give it a try I won’t stop you, but don’t keep your expectations too high. If you have oily skin I won’t recommend putting this on. As a primer, it never grabs your makeup or makes it last longer.

Who should you Buy It?
To try something new
If you are creating some insta video

Will I buy it again?
Nope

Pros:
water-based formula
formulated WITHOUT: Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates

Cons:
Not the best serum
didn’t make my makeup last longer.

Final Verdict: You can give it a try because every skin is different. On my oily skin, it didn’t work that well so I won’t recommend it. I know I’m a hard-to-impress kindof girl but whats wrong in wanting it all!

BnB rating: 5/10
