I was never a fan of water creams since I thought I had super dry skin and always thought that I needed something that felt heavy. I used the thickest greasiest products specially in winters and in summer I always went for products that have Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid.
Then one day when I got a facial done at a reputed spa center they told me I had dehydrated skin and not dry skin. My dermatologist told me to use an oil-free mousturizer to get rid of all my acne. I freaked out since I’ve to use products with benzol peroxide and you can imagine what it can do to my dry skin. That’s when I decided to try this product which had no oil and looking at the ingredient list I thought it won’t interfere with my acne product.
I ordered few items from Tatcha after reading reviews online, their skincare product reviews are great. My reaction after using this product for first time was … WOW. This water cream felt luxurious and light, it smells fresh, a refreshing floral scent which is not over-powering.
How I use:
-I scoop a pearl-size amount of cream with a spatula(since mine is sample size).
-I massage onto face and neck like instructed.
I like the fact that it instantly hydrates my skin. It is hydrating and NOT greasy at all, very light, perfect for both dry and oily skin in the summer. The ingredient list is amazing too, Japanese wild rose is known for tightening pores and Japanese leopard lily is know to control excess oil. The formula imparts a subtle, shine-free glow which makes your skin look healthy.
The first thing that is necessary in my skincare is the noncomedogenic, non-irritating, non-sensitizing, dermatologist tested, and cruelty-free TAGS and this one has all these labels. Also no mineral oil in this cream which is huge plus.
I was looking for something with a lighter formula, and gentle active ingredients and this one is all I was ever looking for. It absorbs within minutes and leaves my skin feeling baby soft right after application and all day/night after.
Overall, I really love Tatcha Water Cream, for super dry skin this is best during the summer time and for other skintypes I think this will work in summer as well as winter. I love the light formula and this makes my skin look healthy which is what I’m looking for in a mositurizer.
