LOTUS HERBALS COLOR KICK KAJAL :
Review, Swatches and EOTD
By ~ Author : Sanchita
Hello Friends !
After using a plethora of kajals from every brand which brings out smudge proof kajal, it was time a give a try to the Lotus Herbals Kajal. I have only used sunscreen and cleansing from this brand but with the launch of the Color Kick kajal – it has been a head turner for many beauty experts. The product is indeed worth praising for and truly speaking, I’m yet to come across a magnificent one.
Let us dig into the details of the wonderful kajal which has acquired a Holy Grail status in my stash right now.
PRICE – 199 INR for 0.28 g
My Experience with Lotus Color Kick Kajal?
PACKAGING –
A vibrant fuchsia packaging which is bright and extremely lovable for all the girls out there. The kajal comes in a bright fuchsia twist-up pencil body with the same colored long pencil cap. The cap shuts with a click and extremely efficient as well as you won’t have to waste the product with sharpening. Although the packaging is similar but the brightness of fuchsia add a girly glamour to the packaging.
SHADE & PIGMENTATION –
the shade is jet black with deepest shade. The intensity of this kajal is extremely impressive and striking. The pigmentation is equally remarkable. On the waterline it requires only 2-3swipes to get the deepest layer and as a kajal on upper and lower lids, it is extremely pigmented with single swipe itself. A very rare product with intense black shade that shows up so well on the lids and waterline.
TEXTURE –
the kajal is smooth but not creamy. It doesn’t tug or pull at all while application and glides like a dream. It settles down with a subtle matte finish but doesn’t look flaky or cakey when over applied. The kajal has the tendency to settle down quickly on the eyes and therefore if you want to smudge it with a brush or finger you have to be really quick. I have worn it several times and it caused no irritation of inflammation on my water lids or eyelids.
FORMULA –
This product won my heart with its performance in this department. It stays true to its claim to 8hrs of complete smudge proof performance and it literally didn’t budge an inch throughout the day. Even if I slightly rubbed my eyes or slept an hour or so with it, there was absolutely no smudging at all. It is also completely water proof so no matter how many times you splash water it won’t wash off.
STAYING POWER –
it goes without saying that the staying power is equally commendable for this product. I generally wear it regularly for daily kajal and it stays put for all day. It starts smudging after 7-8hrs but by that time my eyelids also become very oily. I don’t require any touch up at all if I wear this kajal. The removal is very tough as it won’t get completely wiped off unless I use olive oil.
OVERALL – with such an affordable price tag and outstanding quality, the product is a steal. It gives a jet black color and defines the eyes like no other product.

I see the con of it settling quickly as a pro. It means it will smudge less on my oily lids.
