Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate Review
Hello Cupcakes !
Whenever a new skincare product lands on my testing table, I know I’m either going to fall in love with it or I’ll be completely ignoring it. There’s not much middle ground when it comes to skincare products.
Honestly speaking this is my first ever purchase from Kiehl’s. This brand is so famous worldwide for producing unique and boundary-pushing skincare that really do make a difference in the way your skin look.
So let’s find out if this Midnight Recovery Concentrate really works…
Price : USA : $ 120, India : INR 3500
Quantity : 30 ml
Shelf life : 36 months
My Experience with Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate ?
The packaging of the products is exquisite. It comes in deep ink bluish petite glass bottle along with the black screw cap that has the dropper attached. The glass packaging is further enclosed in a cardboard box. The dropper performs nicely and it is wonderful to take out the minimal product considered the fact that a little amount will go a long way. In spite of the fact that it is a glass bottle, it is travel friendly and totally mess free.
The product is like an overnight elixir which aims to refresh, replenish and rejuvenate the skin making it naturally beautiful. Our skin needs to be hydrated and allowed to regenerate on its own and this is what the product does exactly. At night we always prefer something hydrating yet light to help the skin restoring its vitality after we encounter various chemicals and pollution throughout the whole day.
The consistency of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate resembles that of a transparent oil and requires 2-3drops at the most. It needs to applied after the cleansing the skin before bedtime. It is a product slightly different from other elixirs. It needs to be patted on the skin to help the skin absorb the qualities on its own instead of massaging. The product has a mild fragrance which disappears after some time leaving a fresh trail of whiff on the skin.
The product works remarkably well for normal to dry skin, but I’m quite sure it will suit oily skin beauties too. However, I always say that those with sensitive skin should test any skincare product before using. Dry skin would have to use a heavy duty moisturizer underneath because winter is harsh and for oily skin, it acts as moisturizer as well. Having used the product for one week before the bedtime and every day I wake up with a fresh and naturally radiant skin. The product gets absorbed easily and doesn’t give any oily film on the skin, clogging the pores. Therefore, you won’t experience any break outs as well. It imparts a fresh glow to the skin and it also works on healing the blemishes. Though, you definitely need to give it some time to work on the skin and would notice the difference with continuous usage. It makes the skin supple and soft balancing the natural oil reproduction of the skin.
One of the ingredient is the lavender oil which soothes and invigorates the skin and quite a relaxing fragrance we desire before bedtime. The whiff is so captivating that it helps us giving a calming comfort. It also has Squalene that is known to hydrate and make the skin softer. It is 99% naturally derived and hence not chemical laden to effect the skin harmfully in the long run. It is also paraben free as you prefer the skin care to be. Coming the only con that can be deduced is that it is excessively pricey. Even though the little bottle will last you for quite a handful of months, it is still makes a dent to the pocket.
I’ve mentioned more about it in my video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpSzGXXkDfA
