Sebamed Clear Face Deep Cleansing Facial Toner Review
( Author ~ Jahnvi )
Hey everyone! It is my first post on Beautyndbest.com … :-)
Today I’m going to talk about Sebamed clear face deep cleansing toner. I have sensitive dry skin that is also acne prone. As long as I religiously cleanse my skin and follow a regimen, my skin looks great but for a lazy person like me, the simple CTM can be a task. So that is how I end up with break outs. Sebamed has been one of my favourite brands… I obviously had lots of expectations from their toner.Read on to know if this worked for me.
This toner is a part of the clear face range that is for acne prone skin.
Price: 400 INR for 150ml
My Experience:
Like I mentioned above, I have a dry skin and most of the products that are meant to treat acne are not for dry skin. They are over drying but I had a good experience with the Sebamed clear face soap that I had used for quite some time. When I had a sudden outbreak of zits and what not all over my face, I got back to my trusted Sebamed soap. This time though, my skin broke out really bad and I thought of trying their toner as well. What’s more, it said the toner has silk protein that keeps the skin moisturized. I was sold. The company is German based and makes products suitable for sensitive skin. It has no parabens and is also cruelty free.
Packaging
This comes in a plain looking bottle with nothing fancy on it. I personally find it nice and practical. The cap is pretty sturdy and the toner doesn’t leak. It is not handbag friendly due to its size but it won’t spill in your vanity pouch.
Texture and scent:
Like any other toner, this toner is a runny consistency and is light blue in colour. It has a spirit like smell that disappears after a while.
Formulation
The Sebamed clear face toner is formulized with Panthenol( helps in regeneration of skin cells); hamamelis ( calms the skin); silk protein and allantoin (moisturize the skin) with a pH value of 5.5 especially meant to maintain the skin’s natural acid mantle. The product claims it cleanses the skin of dirt and acne causing bacteria while healing and moisturizing it.
My Experience with the toner –
I had a very funny experience using this for the first time. I had poured a lot of toner on my cotton swab and the strong smell hit my nostrils. It smelled like spirit and alcohol. I was careful not to get too much of it on the cotton the next time and I was fine.
I used the Sebamed toner twice a day on a cleansed face and in a week, my face did look a lot better. While it did not make my zits disappear magically, it did soothe my skin and my face looked much clearer. True to its claim, it removes any dirt that’s on the skin after cleansing. This is something I loved because I had doubled cleansed my skin and yet, the toner did a bit of cleansing to my skin! It is not at all drying and even people with dry skin can use it. The best part is that it is meant for sensitive skin and is Ph balanced.
