Milani Rose powder blush ‘Tea Rose’ review, swatches & FOTD

(Author ~ Nidhi)

Hello girls !

Today’s review is about the most beautiful looking blush you can own in your blush stash. I was a fan of the Clinique pop cheek color with the utterly pretty flower look but this Rose blush by Milani just stole my heart. It looks gorgeous in its pack and you can own one of these just for its pretty face ;-)

Product Description: A radiant blush that deserves to be seen, Rose Powder Blush is gorgeous in the compact and even prettier on cheeks. The soft, natural-finish powder shapes, contours and highlights with flattering matte and shimmery shades made to complement every skin tone. This is one petal-perfect beauty that you’ll reach for again and again.

Price: USA – 10$ or India – 1000 INR

Available: IG sellers, beautyjoint website

My Experience:

Milani Cosmetics is a known brand in the cosmetic industry and its blushes and lip products are something that I crave for. This International brand provides quality products at an affordable price. I have picked a few of its products online through beautyjoint site but now many IG sellers (selling authentic makeup products) can be reached out to get Milani makeup in our hands. So getting on with the review of this pretty blush, here is what I feel about it.

‘Tea Rose’ is described as ‘light rose’. It is a cool toned light dusty pink colored blush. It is a somewhat different shade from what you can optionally pick. The shade would flatter fair to medium skin tones very well. It can be your everyday wear blush as it leaves a subtle pink flush on your cheeks sans any shimmer.

The blush has a super soft texture that almost flies around if you stroke the brush 2-3 times. The blush is a bit powdery in feel and is completely matte.

The pigmentation is quite very good and a little is what is needed for a natural looking flush. You can pick more color in your brush or apply twice depending on your choice. It applies nicely and evenly.

The cool undertone in the shade asks for a proper base makeup so that the color does not look too stark against the warm Indian skin tone. That’s why I prefer using a fluffy blush brush (my RT blush brush comes handy) and applying it with a light hand only.

Blush lasts for 5-6 hours on me. A proper base/ primer add to the staying power of the blush which is needed coz of the powdery texture. A normal cleanser helps to remove the blush easily.

This is the best part about this Milani blush. The name Rose blush is truly implied in designing and packing the actual product. The round sturdy pack houses the prettiest rose lookalike blush with a transparent lid on top. The blush does not lose its shape even after usage. I have used it quite a number of times till now, but no change in the look of the rose of rose blush :-P.

What I like: :-)

  • Prettiest looking blush
  • Comes in beautiful 8 shades to choose from
  • Sturdy packaging
  • Tea Rose can be an everyday kind of shade for many
  • Matte finish
  • Good pigmentation
  • Good staying power
  • Easy to pick and apply using a fluffy blush brush

What I dislike: :-(

  • Powdery texture
  • Availability issues
  • Picking too much of the product may make it difficult to blend. Build up the color if need arises.

Final Verdict : I love the shade, the packaging and the price too. I like the fact that it is pigmented and little will go a long way. Definitely going to pick more of the Rose blushes and whole heartedly recommend it to everyone.
